The Rev Frank Giffen has recently been appointed to serve as the minister of Westmount Park United Church and also chaplain to the Contactivity Seniors Centre which meets in the church. He is a recently retired minister who for the past 22 years has been at St. John's United Church in Pointe Claire. For five years before that he was the minister of the Morin Heights, Shawbridge, Ste. Adele Pastoral charge. Frank was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta. He attended the University of Alberta for many years eventually obtaining three degrees (B.A., B.Mus. & B.Ed.) He obtained an M.Div. from the Vancouver School of Theology in 1981. He has served in the Montreal Presbytery of the United Church mostly with the Church in Society Committee and in the Montreal and Ottawa Conference with the Native Concerns Committee. In 1973 he married Jane Lowles of Toronto.  They have five children (David, Lynda, Mary, Christina and Sheila).  Their daughter Lynda lives in Scotland with her husband John Clements and their baby boy Benjamin.
